This is at the heart of Jung’s work.

Anima = Man’s inner feminine

Animus = Woman’s inner masculine

Anima/Animus integration is the second stage of the *individuation process (*The Jungian path to wholeness and completeness in life). This doesn’t care for:

  • Achievement

  • Perfectionism

  • A clean record

Individuation ends at realising our true selves and how we fit into this Universe.

(Basically enlightenment).

Dr Jung called the Anima and Animus “soul guides” because they lead us towards this realisation in dreams, myth, and our relationship to the opposite sex.

Here’s a quick 4 part guide to help you incorporate your Anima or Animus…

“We can never enter the collective unconscious, but we can send the anima or animus to bring us information”

– C.G. Jung , Cornwall Seminar

1) Is This Theory Sexist?

Yes… but then again, no.
